Why uploads fail
Application portals limit files to 100KB, 200KB or 500KB. A phone photo is often 3 to 8MB, so it is rejected until you shrink it.
Step 1: read the limit and format
Check whether the form needs JPG or PNG, the maximum size in KB or MB, and any required dimensions.
Step 2: compress to the limit
Choose the right tool: 100KB, 200KB, 500KB, or any custom size. The result stays as clear as the limit allows.
Step 3: resize if the dimensions are wrong
Use resize image to set exact pixel width and height. Resize first, then compress.
Step 4: check the result
Open the file and make sure the face or text is readable. Do not take a screenshot of the picture; it adds blur and changes the size.
Photos and signatures
For signatures see signature under 20KB. For passport style photos see the passport photo makers.
